Sarah Palin’s life has always been an interesting one. From early school and sports success to being chosen as John McCain’s running mate, this is one gun-tooting bible thumping babe with attitude. And she’d probably kill me for writing that!
Home in the early part of Sarah Palin’s life was Wasilla, Alaska (she was born in Sandpoint, Idaho, but moved with her parents to Alaska while still very young). She is the third child of Sarah and Charles Heath, school secretary. Charles was a keen hunter and this is where the Sarah Palin learned to hunt moose: one of the many things that appears to have completely polarized public opinion about her.
Sarah Palin captained her school basketball team to victory in a small school tournament and this, it could be said, was the start of a lifetime of being an effective leader which has climaxed – so far – in being appointed governor of Alaska and being appointed as John McCain’s running mate in his bid for upcoming presidential election.
Politician’s are perhaps not known for their beauty and it is in this area, as in so many other areas, that Palin really does break from the norm; is she the first Governor of a US state to have won a prise at a beauty pageant for that state? Probably!
