Tequilas all around indeed. Literally all around once you’re up on the cool rooftop bar on the Iron Cactus down in Austin Texas. This place is winning places in many peoples’ lists of places to go. Why? Simple: the Iron Cactus is a fantastic Mexican restaurant that not only provides delicious Mexican food, but also has what is possibly the largest selection of different tequilas anywhere in the Country. How’s that for a reason to visit?
When you combine this wonder of drinking entertainment with knowledgeable and friendly staff and a great little restaurant with admirable atmosphere, then there’s no doubt that you’re onto a winner. Even those of you who don’t usually get on with Mexican food should consider a quick visit just for that rooftop bar (yes, okay, and that tequila). While you’re here I’d try the fish taco and the tortilla soup, just to make sure you’ve covered all your bases… these dishes are winning hearty acclaim in the local press and there is a very good reason for this.
The Iron Cactus in Austin, Texas, is most definitely one of the most innovative and pleasant of any Mexican restaurant I have been to in recent times. Top marks.
